Kursaal Hotel

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The inside of the hotel is in need of an update as some parts are quite shabby. We booked a junior suite with sea view and whilst the view is very good the room was just a larger room (quite dated even though it was in the modern extension) with a sofa bed and right above the very noisy Racket Bar. I'm also not sure the plastic flower petals on the bed are appropriate given the current pandemic situation. The creaking and badly fitted doors on the wardrobes need to be sorted as well. There's lots of glass on the outside of the modern extension where we stayed but it's filthy dirty and someone should be cleaning this at least every week. There's a €15 per day charge for parking in the basement which only has access to the hotel via stairs and not a lift. No matter what I tried to do I couldn't get the shower head to stay in a single position. They should consider installing rain showers like most hotels have now. They ran out of fruit on one of the days for breakfast and there were no coffee cups or milk to be found on the other day. I will however say that the staff on reception though are very nice.

The best old waiter who played on piano. Kind to the kids. Comfort, services and atmosphere worth to come back and recommend to the friends and everybody. Had no time to try sauna and massage but would do these next time. Would highly recommend!!!

Our overall experience staying at the Kursaal was good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room /bathroom was well maintained daily. A slight negative was that the room itself was smaller than we expected given the rather grand exterior of the hotel. The shower was also somewhat cramped. Breakfast selection in the restaurant was good and was included in the entirely reasonable room rate for a pre-season (late May) stay. Hotel location was excellent both for beach and shopping access, overlooking the town's main square and central beach.

The food was amazing! And the restaurant workers were so helpful. They will make you eggs to order and fresh American coffee every morning! They also clean your room and provide fresh towels every single day. The view of the Adriatic Sea is in my mind forever. I absolutely loved it.

Property is Stunning, Staff is Superior and the Kitchen is Outstanding! This was the second time I have taken my cycling trip to Cattolica and I would not use any other hotel before the Kursaal, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Cattolica.

The Kursaal really lived up to its historical name as a grand hotel. Loved that it was located right on the beach and the town of Catolica. The Racket Bar attached to the hotel was a great place to pick up a light snack or lunch .The room had all the amenities, and the staff at Reception were very helpful. Even the breakfasts were excellent. I'd highly recommend this Hotel.

Always a beautiful feeling to come to this hotel at the reception i am always greeted with a smile by Nadia, Maura, Robetra or Luca depending on the moment. My room is always perfectely clean by the dedicated staff and in the dining area Michael is always top in supporting my wine and food requests. Thanks i'll be Back Soon! Sempre una bella sensazione venire in questo hotel alla reception sono sempre accolto con un sorriso da Nadia, Maura, Robetra o Luca a seconda del momento. La mia camera è sempre perfettamente pulita dal personale dedicato e nella sala da pranzo Michael è sempre il massimo nel soddisfare le mie richieste enogastronomiche. Grazie tornerò presto!

Hotel storico che cerca di ritornare al successo ma partiamo subito con il punto critico: se rinuncio a chiedere l’acqua al tavolo durante i pasti perché tanto nessuno mai te la porta (sono arrivato a doverla chiedere 4 volte!) ecco che avere 4 stelle significa NULLA. Ho parlato con altri ospiti e c’era chi tornava da tanti anni e non riconosceva questa situazione… Nella sala da pranzo o c’è l’aria condizionata e si tengono i finestroni chiusi o non c’è e si apre tutto. Sinceramente avere un’intera sala che si sventola col menù, in una 4 stelle, fa un po’ ridere. Così come ho trovato rivoltante il macina sale coperto di escrementi di piccione. Sarà stato solo un incidente che può capitare in una sala all’aperto ma in un 4 stelle, anche se capita, va risolto IMMEDIATAMENTE, non se ne deve accorgere il cliente. A cosa servono i 5 camerieri di sala più maitre?! Altro esempio: cosa mettere a fare due 15enni al bar dopo il pranzo se nessuno dei due sa fare un caffè macchiato?! Tutti e due son dovuti andare a chiedere al maitre di sala che oltretutto, magari, poteva spiegarglielo per le prossime volte invece che farlo lui e basta. Risultato? Tutti gli ospiti andavano a prenderlo al bar accanto all’hotel. Così perdete anche soldi signori… Tutto ciò spiegato, non mi ha stupito sentire il proprietario strigliare maitre e altri durante un post-pranzo. Ma mio caro proprietario che hai giustamente detto “o iniziamo a comportarci da professionisti o sono -bip-”, anche tu devi saper organizzare il tuo personale. Vedere esempio del bar. In generale devo dire che sono abbastanza insoddisfatto dal servizio, tanto per fare un altro esempio, le donne delle pulizie erano presenti e solerti ma parlavano solo con la mia compagna, a me a malapena salutavano, come se fossimo nel 1920. L’acqua della piscina era o ghiacciata o calda da far sudare con, di nuovo, un giovane e inesperto ragazzo presente al bar a cui chiedere inutilmente di far qualcosa. Si salva la cura e la ricercatezza del cibo, che comunque era sempre una bella scoperta. INCANTEVOLE la serata con pianista dal vivo!! Camere pulite e carine ma davvero davvero piccole, per non parlare della nostra che, invece di un box doccia, aveva una bara di marmo! Passabile perché era molto strana e curiosa. Ricarica auto elettrica compresa nel costo del posteggio coperto (e ci credo, a 10€ al giorno) ma occhio che entrare e uscire in quel posteggio non è affatto facile (ripidissimo in curva stretta). Posizione dell’hotel perfetta, sulla spiaggia e nel centro, certo potrebbe esserci un po’ di rumore ma a noi non ha creato problemi. Occhio che nelle stanze senza balcone il bagno non è finestrato quindi sarà impossibile asciugare qualsiasi cosa.
